Lisa and Ken were another brave couple that joined me for their engagement session in sub-zero weather! We came prepared with hand warmers and all! I met Lisa and Ken at the Plaza Hotel and then we went over to Central Park, which was surprisingly crowded for how cold it was!
Central Park was a special place to Lisa and Ken as it was the very first time Ken came to visit Lisa in the states. Keep reading below about how their loved trumped their long distance international relationship!
So excited to document your love next May! Congrats guys!
How did you two meet?
We met in Sydney, Australia. I was in Australia on vacation visiting my cousin and Ken was living in Sydney at the time. We met one night out at a bar and just kept in contact and the rest is history.
How did Ken propose?
Ken planned a romantic weekend away which was a surprise to me. He planned it all himself. It was a weekend away at Gougane Barra, which was on my bucket list of places to see in Ireland. They have the most picturesque little church on a peninsula in a lake. There's also a national forest near by for us to hike as well. Anyways... we left in the morning to explore and do some hiking. We stopped at the little church on our way to the national forest all set to go hiking. I was taking photos of the beautiful scenery, when Ken took me aside to tell me how he felt and proposed.
What’s the most important thing you’re looking forward to about getting married?
Creating a life together.
What do you love most about each other?
We're the perfect opposites of each other. Our differences really compliment the other and help to be a better person.
Describe your favorite date night?
We enjoy a good meal... whether it's going out trying new restaurants or cooking something together. Usually a binge session of Netflix follows the food too.
