What do you when its 20 degrees outside? Shoot an awesome couple of course! :) Liz and Joe were such troopers, especially Liz in her dress! We may have been numb, but we still had fun! Liz and Joe picked a local landmark for their engagement shoot, the court house in Somerville NJ, and I can see why!
Liz and Joe have such a sweet story. They met back in high school. Joe played football with Liz's brother but it wasn't until later in life that they re-connected last summer after Liz moved back to NJ. Joe struck up a conversation on Facebook about our similar teaching jobs, asked to go out for drinks and we have been together everyday since!
I'm so excited to capture their wedding next July at the Ryland Inn! Speaking of the Ryland Inn, we're about to shoot our next issue of NJ Bride there at the end of February, stay tuned for fabulousness!
Congrats agagin Liz and Joe!!
How did Joe pop the question?
Joe planned the proposal with both our families at the forefront. He made plans for us to go pumpkin picking and then carve them at Liz’s parents house but of course that day it was raining and cold. We went to brunch instead and went to Liz’s parents to carve pumpkins he bought ahead of time. Little did Liz know that his family was hiding at her parents and when they got to the house, Joe had pre-carved a pumpkin and had the ring hidden inside. As he got down on one knee, both families were there to see it!
